Yuga Labs employs Chief Gaming Officer, hopes to boost Web3 Gaming Awareness

Yuga Labs, creator of the popular NFT, recently announced Spencer Tucker as its first Chief Gaming Officer.

Yuga Labs has named Spencer Tucker as its first-ever chief game officer. Tucker will oversee the development of the company’s Web3 gaming project, starting with OtherSide NFT.  EtherSide recently recorded massive trading activity from Otherside NFT and a staggering $561 million worth of NFT land sales in 24 hours. Yuga Labs is the parent company of BAYC, MAYC, CryptoPunks, Meebits and OtherSide NFT.

Who is Spencer Tucker?

Tucker previously served as president of games at Scopely and senior vice president of product at GREE. Tucker has expressed his excitement and readiness to begin work at Yuga Labs. He has assembled the co-founders and CEO of Yuga Labs to get things started.

Tucker commented via a post on LinkedIn.

“I believe the future of gaming will be driven by player ownership, social collaboration and creative expression, where players encounter, merge and realize worlds, content, art and experiences that are as eclectic and exciting as the people playing in them. I’m excited to be working deep in the Everglades, building the frontiers of the future with such great people and an outstanding community.

Nicole Muniz, CEO of Yuga Labs, cited gaming as one of the company’s biggest priorities and called it a “major focus” for the future. Yuga Labs has the top four Ether NFT collections, according to OpenSea.  A small group of angel investors is considering its $450 million seed round, pushing the company’s total valuation to $4 billion. The company has hired up to 6o people this year and aims to hire an unlimited number of 100 by the end of the year.
