What is LUXON?

LUXON is a gaming platform and ecosystem that leverages the Polygon network to empower users and developers. It provides a platform for game developers to publish their titles and a marketplace for users to trade her NFTs. Most importantly, LUXON analyzes users’ transactions on the chain to identify users’ gaming behaviors and create a sustainable gaming ecosystem.

LUXON aims to address the limitations of P2E and the problems that exist in the Web2 game business and management model. For example, current play-to-earn virtual currency games have lost user benefits other than financial incentives, while Web2 games have deprived users of actual ownership of their in-game assets.

Through a scientifically designed ecosystem, LUXON hopes to bring benefits to users based on Web3 principles such as economic sustainability, game playability, and sovereignty of user game assets.

The first game to be released on the platform will be Desperado B218: The Scars of Exos, which will be in Closed Beta Testing (CBT) between November 17th and 24th.

Only limited users will have early access to the game, and those who participate in CBT will have a chance to win prizes such as USDC and NFT whitelist opportunities.

Who is behind LUXON?

Luxon is the brainchild of South Korea’s Nerdystar. Nerdystar is the new investment arm of game publisher Line Games, a video game publisher and developer, and a subsidiary of LINE Corporation. Nerdystar has secured his $5.8 million investment in blockchain gaming platform Luxon, bringing the company’s total raised to his $10.8 million.

With LUXON, Nerdystar intends to bring traditional gamers into the Web3 gaming space by delivering high-quality games powered by NFTs. Leveraging Line Games’ strong IP and game portfolio, Nerdystar can quickly bring well-designed games to Web3. In the future, the platform will also absorb third-party games to diversify user options.

What are the roles in the LUXON ecosystem?

Different users have different habits of using web products. Therefore, only with a deep understanding of user preferences can the team offer the right product. So how do we get information about user habits?

A Web3 user’s data resides on the blockchain as a transaction history. This data has been published anonymously and is available to anyone, but large amounts of data must be collected, cleaned, and analyzed before it can be meaningful.

The LUXON platform facilitates this process by consolidating user data into three identities: holder, trader and player.

How do roles facilitate LUXON’s ecosystem?

When a user connects to LUXON via Web3 Wallet, the platform can retrieve the user’s anonymous data. Next, LUXON will analyze the user’s on-chain data and identify the user’s role in the ecosystem.

  • If IP NFTs and platform tokens are the majority assets of the wallet, the user belongs to the holder category.
  • A user is identified as a trader if the user has an active NFT trade
  • Finally, users are of course players if they are actively participating in the game.

Once a user’s role in the LUXON ecosystem is defined, the user will be able to access the corresponding ID NFT. These NFTs have specific functions, and users can receive corresponding rewards when staking in LUXON’s system.

This is a way to thank various users for their contributions to the LUXON ecosystem and is a necessary process to get users on board with the platform. The following table briefly describes the NFTs that correspond to each platform role and their corresponding benefits.

Heroes

Heroes are important characters and assets in the game and exist as NFTs. This means that the user can actually own them and use them to interact with the game’s smart he contract to earn achievements and rewards.

There are common, uncommon, rare, epic, and legendary heroes, and their attributes, costumes, and more.

What is LUXON?

Currently, users can obtain these heroes by participating in early airdrops. After that, you will need to purchase a Hero Recruit Ticket from the LUXON store to acquire Heroes. Or you can get it by trading with other users on the LUXON Marketplace.

Tokens

LUXON features a dual token economy with LXN and Balanced Token (BT). LXN is a utility token that users can use to purchase items in the store, trade in the marketplace, etc. BT is a governance token that facilitates the operation of his DAO on Luxon. Users can earn BT by staking crystals, using LXNs, and holding LXNs.

As the project evolves, the LUXON team and community will showcase more use cases for both tokens.

Memorial Crystals NFTs

Exos Heros is published by Line Games on multiple platforms including Steam, Android, iOS, and Floor (Line Games’ own platform). The game recently released Memorial Crystal NFTs with long-term value in the LUXON ecosystem and DESPERADO B218.

What is LUXON?

Users can stake Memorial Crystal NFTs to earn rewards. Balance Tokens will be distributed periodically to accounts that have staked Memorial Crystals. The user can then use these tokens to redeem her DESPERADO B218 in-game resources.

LUXON puts the power in the hand of users

In Web2, games are centralized and players have no say in game decisions. If the game goes out of service, all assets, efforts, time and money that users have earned and invested will be immediately lost. Years of hard work by many developers are gone.

LUXON hopes to radically change this situation by building the platform as a user-co-owned DAO, allowing users to shape the future of their projects.
