All about the next Impostors playtest
Impostors, Web3’s social reasoning game, is about to launch a new beta test for verified owners. The beta will be available for a limited time on March 31st from 3pm to 8pm CST.
The playtest, originally scheduled for March 24th, had to be postponed due to unforeseen issues in migrating the game to Unreal Engine 5.1. Now that the issue has been resolved, Impostors will begin beta testing the Genesis Alien NFT owners confirmed on his official Discord channel.
All participants will receive a special POAP (Proof of Attendance Protocol) to join the beta test. Content creators will also have a chance to win a $3,000 prize for creating video content based on playtests. Following the event, verified owners vote for their favorites. The prize money for the winner is $2,500, second place is $500, and third place is $200.
Created by the team behind SuperFarm, Impostors is a social game metaverse that lets you roam as cute and dangerous alien creatures. The first game mode is a social deduction game, in which one or more players act as “impostors” who murder “innocent people”. Innocents only win if they either vote out all the impostors or complete the task before being killed.
The game is very similar to Among Us, but the team plans to add additional gameplay, such as a sandbox feature that allows players to create maps and games in Impostors.
At launch, Impostors will run in a dual token economy with $SUPER as the governance token and $BLOOD as the utility token. $SUPER cannot be earned through gameplay, but $BLOOD can be generated by staking Impostors NFTs or by playing core game modes.
