Upcoming Cash Prize Contests
The Virtual Basketball Association (VBA) has revealed the first version of its Cash Prize Contests. VBA is a metaverse-based basketball league where individuals can build a team to compete in games and win rewards.
These contests will use the same gameplay and mechanics but allow participants to stake more and get more rewards. They will be a core event in the upcoming Arcade mode where GMs can compete in different contests and get unique rewards.
Via a blog post, VBA said,
“This is an important step as we build towards a sustainable rewards model. As mentioned in our previous blogs, we want GMs to play in the VBA for rewards that they can use to improve their teams, and use those teams to compete against other GMs for cash prizes.”
There Is an Entry Fee for The Contest
The first Cash Prize Contest will be an extended version of VBA week s0 contests, and GMs can either pay to enter these contests or go for the free Contest.
The entry fee for Cash Prize Contest is 0.55 SOL, and only eight people can participate. The Top 4 will get 1 SOL each, but everyone will get a competitive level DIMES. VBA will use the remaining fee to support the team and other game rewards. Players will be matched with their rivals irrespective of their Rating Points.
