The Sandbox Reveals Alpha Season 3 Leaderboard Winners

Those who participated in Alpha S3 can check their rankings and claim SAND if they are in the top 10,000 spots.

The Sandbox (TSB) Alpha Season 3 Leaderboard gets finalized

After some delays, The Sandbox finally announces the Alpha S3 leaderboard winners who share the 1.5 million SAND prize pool.

Originally scheduled for November 9, the team has postponed any kind of bounty claim following multiple complaints of in-game cheating. Throughout Season 3, many players were found to be using bots and cheats using his engine.

In Alpha S3, the team introduced a new P2E mechanic that calculates player ranking based on the number of quests completed and the time taken to complete them.

However, bots and fake accounts were so prevalent in the game that the team had to spend another month verifying these rankings. This was done to ensure that only genuine players can claim rewards.

Now that the results are in, participants can log into the TSB website and view their rankings. Simply click Claim under your profile to see if you’re eligible to receive a prize. When you rank in the top 10,000, the leaderboard claim options will appear on your screen.

Winners will be awarded SAND prizes according to the following breakdown:

  • 1st place: 30,000 SAND
  • 2nd to 10th place: 5,000 SAND each
  • 11th place to 200th place: 1,500 SAND each
  • 201st to 1,000th place: 750 SAND each
  • 1,001st to 10,000th: 60 SANDs each

What did the community say?

Locking in S3 results is what many players have been asking for, especially those who have been striving to rank in the top 10,000 over the last 90 days.

However, many people are still not satisfied with the final result. Some argued that the ranking remained essentially the same, while others noted that the completion time of the top ten players (on average he was four and a half hours) was “too fast.

“Did this take a month? Rankings barely changed, still leading with ridiculous times. Sad,” tweeted @lucio_duh.

Anyone can guess the number of legitimate winners, but many can only hope that TSB has removed most, if not all, cheaters from the leaderboard.
