Metaverse expands to Germany with The SandBox‘s acquisition of leading game development studio Sviper.
The SandBox has announced the acquisition of Sviper, a game tech hub based on top development, engineering and creative talent. This Germany-based game development studio is renowned for its excellence in working with leading brands and other top talent. The addition of Sviper to The SandBox fuels engagement and experiences for creators focused on social features, new multiplayer features, and new gaming possibilities.
Previous Work Relationship Between Sviper and The SandBox
CEO Ole Schaper and CPO Mark Buchholz have led Sviper for the past 25 years, delivering quality service across mobile, PC and multiplayer gaming. Prior to its recent acquisition by The SandBox, Sviper has been involved in joint projects with the Metaverse platform. It has been fully integrated into that ecosystem over the past year. Currently, Sviper’s team has more than 40 members of his team, working at a hub in Hamburg, Germany. However, Sviper is currently recruiting interested people at his The SandBox in Germany.

Sviper’s chief executive confirms the acquisition of the hub by The SandBox. His CEO and co-founder of Sviper, Ole Schaper, said of the merger:
