Sunflower Land reached the launch date of Goblin Wars – a new series of tournaments that will pit players against each other. For the past few days, players have been picking a team before launching into a competition for resources and revenue.
Fuel for the fire
All this talk of war makes me hungry. If we are going to survive the next few weeks we better prepare some food for ourselves and the troops. These rations will need to last us for at least 10 weeks. pic.twitter.com/BDExEyl5l7

The exact start of the war is expected to be at some point on September 5, and thousands of players have already picked a team.
The war may help Sunflower Land add additional players to boost daily activity. Sunflowerland remains a fast developing game with a busy schedule and a transparent development process. In addition to war-based items and competition, the game offers a glimpse of the split between the Sunflower and Goblin teams.
Just before the war began, the game carried 64,500 players in the last 24 hours, slipping to No. 5 in the Polygon app.
Over the next 10 weeks, the game is expected to have more than 30,000 players competing for one of the teams. Completing weekly quests will issue War Bonds, which can be used to purchase rare items only available during the Goblin Wars. Sunflower Bonds is known for encouraging multiple item strategies, which can then be used to participate in higher level crafting or item creation.
News of the Goblin Wars helped boost the SFL token, which rose to $0.08. SFL also gained a pair on QuickSwap, despite losing out in the competition for liquidity mining.
For now, most SFLs remain in-game, as it is one way to get in-game utility items or cosmetics.
Sunflower Land Holds More Developments in the Pipeline
Instead of mass adoption, Sunflower Land aims to stop at 1,151,000 farms. The team is also working on adding an account protection through the use of selfies. The game has had some issues with people getting locked out of their accounts and people being blacklisted from NFT due to suspected bot activity.
In addition, the team is working on in-game character images, costume items for playable Bumpkins, and other unique features.
