Sunflower Land is still in the sandbox testing phase and the game may expect continued evolution. The next phase will be to rebuild the land, which is the basis of the resource game. Sunflowerland already hinted at land expansion and even showed off some building mechanics. But now, the next stage could be Sunflower Island, a test of a new map area.
While the Sunflower Islands have been announced, their actual launch could be months away. For now, the game mechanics are still being tested.
The game may begin to evolve from a closed simulation farming genre to an endless meta-space and sandbox type of game. For now, the total player limit for Sunflower Land remains small, with only a few thousand active players per day.
Sunflower Land Expands the Economy
After months of experimenting with limited crops and trade, Sunflower Land is now looking to move into a P2E game with a broader, growing in-game economy.
The map will now gain Sunflower Islands, new locations that can be built using wood and stone resources. Over time, these islands may also become restricted areas that can only be reached after leveling up.
Other items on the timeline will be additional buildings and decorations for farms.
New Type of NFT Coming
Sunflower Land is also getting closer to launching Bumpkin NFT. the new series will have a separate mint and all player avatars will be upgradable.
Players will be able to make or buy SFT tokens, or clone items for their characters. All clothing and accessories will be reflected on the avatar’s image when listed for resale in NFT.
The beta phase of Bumpkins will begin in October, with more delays in the wider public release. The full dynamic avatar will be available to all players at a later date.
Sunflower Islands currently ranks sixth in the Polygon app as the number of players has decreased to 4.28K in the past day. SFL retained some of its recent gains and currently stands at $0.07.
