U.S. multinational coffeehouse chain Starbucks has launched its NFT-based “Starbucks Odyssey” loyalty program, which will provide holders with a new, immersive coffee experience.
Washington-based coffeehouse chain Starbucks has unveiled its previously announced “Starbucks Odyssey” as its NFT-based loyalty program. in May, Starbucks announced its plans to create a family of NFT brands in a post by Chief Marketing Officer Brady Brewer and Starbucks consultant Adam Brotman. The company is taking a chance on using Web3 and NFT to build a new, global digital community.

The newly announced program will enable Starbucks Rewards members and employees to earn and purchase NFT stamps, allowing them to enjoy a new, immersive coffee experience. Like many other NFT-based programs and games, the point value of NFT stamps will be based on their rarity; members will be able to buy and sell these stamps within the marketplace. built on Polygon and secured by “proof-of-stake” blockchain technology, NFT holders will receive exclusive merchandise and rewards, from virtual espresso martini classes to exclusive Starbucks Reserve Roastery events.
In addition to the iconic Starbucks artwork created with Starbucks partners, Starbucks will also collaborate with outside artists to create new stamp designs. This opportunity will be the first time Starbucks members and partners will have access to these valuable assets. A percentage of the proceeds from the sale of the limited edition stamps will be donated to support issues related to Starbucks partners and Starbucks Rewards members.
Interested participants can join the waiting list beginning September 12; this will give customers and partners the opportunity to be among the first to receive a Starbucks Odyssey experience. This immersive campaign will launch later this year.
