The team behind Starbots has announced that they plan to release a new feature called Magic soon.
Starbots is a playable and earnable NFT strategy game where players create their own combat robots that not only fight other players, but also complete missions on a series of different planets. These robots consist of several different body parts that can not only be upgraded, but also customized with a variety of different weapons, while requiring occasional repairs. Throughout the 2D game, players can earn NFT and $GEAR, an in-game bonus token based on Solana. There is also a token called $BOT, which is used to govern votes, upgrade body parts, etc. The game is produced by Starbots Studios and backed by a number of different partners and investors, including OKEx Blockdream Ventures, Kyros Ventures, Kyber Network, Solar Eco Fund, TomoChain, TK Ventures Impossible Finance, Good Games Guild, and more.
The new Magic feature was introduced to further balance the game while opening up space for more tactical gameplay, potentially forming a new meta. Magic provides additional bonuses to the existing state of each body part and gadget. The amount of increase in certain attributes depends on the rarity of the part in question.
