4x, the space-based MMO game Star Atlas has released the game base ahead of its upcoming playable alpha release.
Star Atlas has released the game base for its game currently in development. The game allows players to choose their favorite character in the game. There will be a wide range of options for how to play the game. Players can choose to pilot a ship, command a fleet, or rule the world. As the game progresses, players can continue to move from merchant to pirate, to land baron, and finally to become a self-appointed king. This version has three game bases, namely military game, economic game and political game.
The Three Types of Gameplay of Star Atlas
In the military game, the player commands a fleet, such as a ship or a fleet of ships. Players must play as mercenaries, pirates, or supporters of the fleet when playing in mission or faction mode. The game allows players to customize ships, crew skills and even crafting systems. To be on the safe side, it is recommended that players begin missions in safe areas before progressing to areas where crew and ship NFT may be lost forever.
Interestingly, the economic gameplay features a free market economy where players can acquire resources, craft ships, and build their own economy. The first impression of the game will include twenty-two different resources. The resources will be generated from the curated production chain. Some resources will be readily available, while some will require refinement. Soon, players may begin to fill viable roles and specialize in specific markets and product lines.
Finally, Maps to the Stars has political gameplay. Players will receive bonuses for locking in POLIS (governance tokens), which gives them voting rights. If locked in for 5 years, the locked-in bonus can go up to 10x. Invariably, long-term investors will gain more voting weight. The political game includes faction politics and regional politics.
