Shatterpoint, a polygon-based mobile action RPG, kicks off its preseason tournament on leading blockchain gaming platform Fractal.
This special event is free to play and will take place before Shatterpoint’s open beta, scheduled to begin in April. Anyone who has linked their account to his Fractal Wallet will be able to compete for his USDC and NFT prizes on the leaderboards.
Shatterpoint is a blockchain mobile action RPG where players choose their battles, challenge other players and try to survive “The Shattering”. It’s a never-ending cycle of destruction and death represented by seasons, each with new content, enemies, and campaign rewards. The player’s character his level and equipped items are reset weekly, but runes and resources are retained (“shatterproof”). The pre-season rewards the weekly and overall winners for achieving the highest cumulative rankings in the four-week event.
According to Fractal, the pre-season tournament will start on March 27th at 12:00pm UTC and will run for four weeks until April 23rd at 12:00pm UTC. Once the event starts, visit Fractal’s Shatterpoint project page and download the game from Google Play or the App Store. A player must create a BlockGame account and link a BlockGames ID to his Fractal wallet before finishing the tutorial and reaching level 10 in PvE to participate in ranked PvP matches.
The PvP Arena is only open for 4 hours per day from 11:00-13:00 UTC and 00:00-02:00 UTC. This is the only time a player can climb the leaderboard. Winning a PvP match gives him 5 trophies and losing gives him 1. The more trophies you win, the higher your ranking.
According to Fractal, players can improve their win rate by leveling up their gear and abilities. This can be done through PvE campaigns and randomized Weekly Challenges, which grant quest rewards of Quantus Dust and rare Rune NFTs.
All participants will compete for in-game NFTs and a $1,000 USDC prize pool. Free Players and Founders His Hero NFT owners will be rewarded with:
