RoboRobo Brings NFT Powered Text Game on the Cardano Network

Cardano is a relatively undeveloped blockchain that has acquired some of its first games in its quest for a more prominent profile.

  • RoboRobo is holding a mini-tournament on Discord for early NFT owners.
  • The game has sold out of recent small mints available for ADA token or cash sales.
  • RoboRobo offers statistically based simulation battles for robot NFTs.

RoboRobo is a new NFT game with text-based strategy. The game offers a series of exclusive robotic NFTs that are key to game progression. It is also not uncommon for RoboRobo to choose his Cardano, which is a relatively unpopular network for gaming. After years of little use, Cardano wants to build its own ecosystem of games.

For now, the game is in preview, with a more detailed roadmap recently released.

Players must have one of the randomly generated robots and sign in to simulated combat against other players. The NFT’s capabilities and level determine the winner, and each battle earns her ROBO tokens. Players can then redirect some of her ROBO tokens back into the game to level up their character.

RoboRobo is still in the pre-sale stage and recently introduced a series of limited quality small mints. Mint requires some ADA tokens and a Cardano compatible wallet, but the game also offers dollar payment options.

The recent MiniMint sold out within 15 hours of its announcement, demonstrating strong interest in new Web3 and NFT games despite the bear market. ADA owners and the Cardano community have been around for years and may be interested in trying out the first game.

Since RoboRobo is a statistics game, players can also pit their robots to test their performance in early-stage Discord tournaments. Robots are also equipped with weapons, each increasing their offensive or defensive power. As the game team prepares, they are also working on graphics to make the simulated battles more interesting.

The game has started in more active development only in the last few months. For about a year, the RoboRobo project relied solely on his NFTs, distributing the Genesis NFT collection to early buyers. As of now, the game has no free options, just allowing NFT owners to compete. ROBO tokens also have a staking mechanism for additional passive income.
