Users will be able to trade their BNB chain-based collections on OpenSea by the end of the year.
BNB Chain is now supported on OpenSea
OpenSea, the world’s largest NFT platform, has announced the integration of the BNB chain. This will allow BNB chain-based collectibles to be tradable on the NFT Marketplace by the end of the year.
According to OpenSea, it already features some of the new chain’s top NFT projects and collections, including PixelSweeper, Goodfellas, MOBOX and Thetan Arena.
This update effectively combines the largest blockchain by active users and wallets (BNB Chain) and the largest NFT marketplace by volume (OpenSea). According to a BSC News report, the BNB chain NFT will also launch on OpenSea’s Seaport protocol in Q4 2022.
“Our goal is to provide a best-in-class experience for NFT creators and users. It’s an important step in that direction,” said Gwendolyn Regina, investment director at BNB Chain. “This integration will bring a large number of creators into the wider system, empowering the creator and his NFT initiative within the BNB chain ecosystem.”
This integration will allow more users from the BNB community to build and succeed with OpenSea. At this time, all BNB chain NFT collections traded after January 1st will be available on the marketplace.
Jeremy Fine, Head of Business and Corporate Development at OpenSea, said: “This update will make it easier for us to reach more users and creators with their preferred chains.”
The BNB ecosystem supports over 1,300 Dapps across multiple categories including DeFi, Metaverse, Blockchain Gaming, NFTs, and more.
In September, OpenSea announced that it would further expand support for additional blockchains and languages to maintain its position as the world’s largest NFT platform. We currently support Ethereum, Polygon, Klaytn, Solana, Arbitrum, Avalanche, and Optimism NFTs.
