The developers of Nyan Heroes have announced new and exciting features, including the Signature Cat Locomotion system that allows players to vault and run on walls with their Nekovia.
Here’s a list of Nyan Heroes’ development updates and insane art display
Nyan Heroes, Solana’s free-to-play shooter, recently dropped a number of exciting updates, including an impressive GDC art showcase.
According to the team, they’ve come a long way in terms of the game’s design, audio, engineering, artwork, and production. This particular feature was demonstrated at GDC 2023, allowing players to use mechs as their in-game avatars to hop, vault, and wall-run.
As shown in the video below, the team built a simple yet effective proving ground that offers a series of challenges for players to learn and practice their moves. Obstacle courses will be expanded in the future to include advanced combat moves that help players hone their skills in a safe environment.
Additionally, the team has introduced significant upgrades to in-game audio, especially the mechanical firing sounds for demo weapons, sniper rifles, bomb launchers, and energy weapons. The team also aims to create cat-like moving sounds such as Wall his running and climbing, and the sound design approach is subtle yet emphasizes speed, agility and power.
Another important highlight is the migration of Nyan Heroes to Unreal Engine 5.1.1. This will allow the team to take advantage of his Unreal Engine’s latest features and performance upgrades for more immersive and engaging gameplay. The Blockchain Engineering team has also released an in-house crypto wallet that is fully integrated with Unreal. This is a native Solana blockchain wallet that works natively on PC and Unreal Engine. Players have full control over their wallets without worrying about management complexities.
