MyMetaverse and Enjin Partner to Launch Playable NFTs in Grand Theft Auto 5 and Minecraft Game Servers.
MyMetaverse announced that its “MetaHome” line of NFTs will be available for the full suite of MyMetaverse games, including Minecraft and GTA5 servers. The NFT series is the first in-game NFT to be cast on Effinity, a segment of the Polkadot chain. At the launch, the company said the NFT will function differently in the other three games, providing unique gameplay utility in each of the worlds they are recognized in.
In an interview with MyMetaverse, the team said.
“To clarify, NFTs have been cast on Efinity and can be incorporated into the MyMetaverse Grand Theft Auto and Minecraft game servers. In MyMetaverse Grand Theft Auto (GTA) 5 server Infinity Auto, they take the form of a rare vehicle; in MyMetaverse Minecraft server Survival Infinity, they become a special sword. In answer to your question, they are not officially integrated with Rockstar or Minecraft.”

MyMetaverse was one of the early ecosystem partners to allow NFTs on Effinity, ahead of many other projects. enjin is an ecosystem that integrates NFTs into virtual worlds and is helping Effinity enable fast and affordable NFT transactions.
Simon Kertonegoro, CEO and founder of MyMetaverse, also said.
“We believe the most valuable NFTs will be those that have the greatest impact on people’s everyday experiences. the MetaHome series has utility in three separate games and is an exploration of blockchain-enabled, cross-game interoperability. Thanks to Enjin’s toolkit, it is now the first playable NFT within the Polkadot ecosystem.”
The MetaHome series will play a role in other MyMetaverse games, including Infinity Realms, an MMO game that leverages Enjin’s open platform.
Enjin’s Chief Technology Officer Witek Radomski adds.
“Enjin’s goal is to become the NFT highway connecting game studios and their users to the blockchain. We are excited to partner with MyMetaverse to integrate NFTs into AAA games like GTA 5 – allowing players to have digital collectibles in their favorite games.”
According to Enjin, only a handful of game studios, including Square Enix and Entropia Universe, have access to Effinity. Enjin is currently building a blockchain explorer, wallet, marketplace and various development tools to support the development of Efinity.
