Eternal Dragon has been slowly making sales of their initial dragons, releasing a new level of dragon for sale each week. Now, they are almost done with the Genesis Dragon sales. But the fun is just beginning. Players with multiple dragons can “nest” their way to descent egg pieces and the game’s token/currency, Eternium, as a reward.
Eternal Dragon is set to release its ninth batch of 1,000 dragon NFTs on September 6. This penultimate batch of Genesis sales features Guardian Dragons, the protectors of the flock. If you’re not already on the priority whitelist, you’re likely too late in the round. These sales end quickly. But there may still be a chance to join the last batch of Mint. Keep a close eye on the Eternal Dragon Twitter account and Discord server for potential opportunities.
But for those of you who already have a stable of dragons, or are interested in building one, then you may want to know about the nesting system in Eternal Dragons.
Eternal Dragons Nesting
Eternal Dragons’ nesting system is a soft wager program that rewards holders with offspring eggs. The nesting program begins on August 10 and lasts for 10 weeks, or until the initial batch of 500 eggs is distributed. Players earn egg pieces by completing nesting tasks. These tasks involve holding a certain number of dragons in your wallet. The nesting period begins on Wednesday and lasts exactly one week. Players must hold dragons in their wallets for the entire week.
Eggs are not released until the end of the nesting period, so the pieces will accumulate. You can only receive complete eggs (i.e. collect 1.75 fragments to get 1 egg). Descent eggs are used to generate the second generation of Eternal Dragon NFT. However, it is not free. In addition to finding two Genesis Dragons to fertilize the eggs, players must also spend the Eternal Dragon’s main game token, Etrium.
But fear not! Dragon holders can now earn Eternium tokens through their nests as well. Players with dragon nests will need to tweet about their nests each week to earn rewards. Players should use the “Tweet to Nest” button on their gallery page by Tuesday at 12:59 p.m. CST to earn that week’s reward. Eternium rewards are based on the rarity of the nest, as well as the number of retweets players receive. Just one retweet earns you double the reward, while ten retweets earn you triple the reward!
What is Eternal Dragons
What is Eternal Dragons is an automated combat game built on the Solana blockchain, with dragons as the fighting unit. With its many different classes, location-based abilities and elemental affinities, What is Eternal Dragons is sure to offer plenty of room for different strategies and team building. The basic attributes of dragons are hit points, elemental power (magic damage) and physical power (physical damage).
In addition, units in Eternal Dragon have a number of other attributes that affect their ability to fight. First, each one has a default skill. This is the dragon’s basic skill and the one most often used. It can be an attack, a heal, a buff/debuff, or even some combination. Units also have their preferred primary status. This will be important when players add items to units, as matching items to their primary attributes will provide better combat value. Dragons also have skill sets and class skills. A skill set is a collection of abilities. Only dragons with matching skill sets can use these abilities. And, as you may have guessed, class skills are specific to certain dragon classes.
In addition, each dragon class has some other class that it likes to match. These dragons are called “adjacent dragons”. Adjacent dragons share skill sets. Also, they will often have class skills and abilities that coordinate well together. Dragons also gain bonuses from sharing affinity with their teammates. Each NFT has an associated affinity, such as Earth, Air, or Void.
