Players can now get a first look at the Neopets Metaverse and earn exclusive rewards from the weeks-long Alpha campaign.
Neopets Metaverse Alpha is now live: What you need to know
Web3 virtual pet game Neopets Metaverse kicked off a four-week invitation-only Alpha campaign yesterday. Eligible players can try out classic mini-games and nostalgic experiences to earn exclusive NFT and NeoPoints Meta ($NPM) tokens.
To join the Alpha program, you must hold at least one NFT from the Neopets Metaverse Collection (NMC), Pizzaroo’s Unique Pizzas, or Masterpiece Collection. those who are exclusively invited by the Neopets team can also join the ranks.
According to the team, there are six in-game alpha experiences that will launch accordingly. This week, you can try out three mini-games, namely Turmac Roll, Meerca Chase and Ultimate Bullseye. starting September 2, players can interact with their Neopets, feeding and nurturing them in a Tamagotchi-style game.
Then on September 9, Neohomes will go live, allowing you to craft and collect furniture to decorate your virtual home. Once your digital pets are ready, you can send them off to battle other Neopets on September 16. Those who manage to complete all Alpha experiences will receive special game items and $NPM tokens in the Neopets Metaverse.

Based on the classic browser game Neopets.com, Neopets Metaverse is an iteration of the successful gaming IP from Web3. This play-and-earn game features adorable 3D Neopets that players can own and interact with through PvE and PvP game modes.
