The creators of the popular Mino Monsters series are making their way into Web3 gaming with their first crypto title.
Mino Games is going Web3 with its first blockchain title Dimensionals
Mino Games, creators of the popular Mino Monsters series, has raised $15 million in Series B funding to build its first crypto game, Dimensionals. The round was led by Standard Crypto with participation from Boost VC, Collab+Currency, Earl Gray Capital and Konvoy Ventures.
As the next major entrant in Web3 games, Mino Games will use the funds to accelerate the launch of its next franchise. Backed by SYBO Games and a16z, the character-driven games company has attracted industry veterans such as Bing Gordon and Don Mattrick as key investors and advisors.

MacKinnon and co-founder Josh Buckley founded Mino Games in 2011 to capitalize on the explosive growth of the mobile gaming industry. To date, the company has launched four of his mobile titles, including his two flagship games, Cat Game and Dog Game. Each has earned millions, with players spread across his 90+ countries and 60 million downloads.

First, Dimensionals is an epic RPG multiverse built with elements you can own. Details are scarce, but the company said in an interview with GamesBeat that the ambitious title would be a cross between Pokémon and Marvel.
“Dimensionals is like Pokémon meets Marvel. It’s a multiverse filled with hundreds of dimensions,” said MacKinnon. “And every dimension has these superheroes who have been chosen to represent that dimension environment.”
