Mines of Dalarnia is updating its in-game land economy
Free-to-play blockchain mining game Mines of Dalarnia has launched Land Economy 2.0 to boost the competitive landscape in the game. Accordingly, the new update is part of the preparation for version 1.1. A deeper dive. Let’s go deeper!
According to the team, owners of sub-optimal land have a harder time competing in the market, especially with a general minimum rent of 1DAR. Despite the varying market demands, the cost of replenishment is currently the same for good and bad parcels. In addition, landowners do not participate in the game, as many simply wait to replenish their land when it becomes vacant.
For these reasons, Mines of Dalania presents a new resource and resupply system in Land Economy 2.0. It works by rewarding miners who mine on a plot with bonuses when the total amount of resources on the plot exceeds a certain threshold. Under the new system, the most profitable digging times will be the first 10 to 20 digs.
The replenishment cost will also depend on two factors. 1. the specific resources on the plot and; 2. the amount of resources replenished on the plot.
For example, plots that are replenished with more copper will always be cheaper than those with premium resources (like Oz). And if you were to replenish a plot with 80 resources, the cost would be much lower than replenishing a plot with 10 resources left.
On top of that, the team will soon remove the 1DAR minimum rent requirement. The excavation tax will be 10% of the rental cost, reduced to a minimum of 0.1 DAR. so landowners can adjust their prices accordingly and compete in the market.
Dalania Mines will further release a new recipe for players to convert their old terrain conversion capsules to new ones. This will create more value for those who invested in the capsules early on.
