Update 1.3: Operation Astrolab includes perk rebalancing, movement and miner energy redesigns, and new game modes for Mines of Dalarnia players to enjoy.
Mines of Dalarnia is set to get a major update as the developer of the blockchain adventure mining game has announced details for update 1.3 called “Operation Astrolab”.
In an open letter to ‘Dalarnians’, the developer revealed some exciting new features and improvements that will be added to the game. Highlights include:
First, the game movement and minor energy features are completely redesigned. Players can select the land they want to mine and instantly move there without wasting time traversing planets. In addition, the miner’s energy limit has been lifted, allowing players to mine to their heart’s content until their equipment’s charge is fully depleted.
Update 1.3 also introduces a new competitive game mode called Astrolab. Players can compete to see how far they can go, earning $DAR rewards along the way. A leaderboard will be added so players can track their progress and see how they compare to other players.
Equipment perks have also been rebalanced. The developers promised to improve a number of perks while keeping and empowering others can have additional benefits.
One of the most requested features from our players is finally coming to Mines of Dalarnia: Ape Quest. The developers promise to share more details about this feature soon, but players can expect their trusty apes to start earning $DAR rewards by participating in quest contracts. The more apes you have, the more quest contracts you can participate in.
Finally, a multiplayer game mode has been added. The first of these is Space Hop, a 2-5 player multiplayer mini-game accessed from a satellite. Players compete against each other to jump off disappearing platforms and try to stay on top of the void. The developer may even implement a reward system for this competitive game feature in future updates.
The Mines of Dalarnia team is unlocking P2E allocation tokens to reward players for participating in competitions.
