Boss Fighters has announced an NFT migration that will move the Rowdies collection to the Polygon network. As an added incentive to migrate, we’re giving away a VR headset to everyone who migrates a Rowdies NFT by July 28th!
Boss Fighters have decided to move to the Polygon blockchain. Specifically, Open Loot, which also handles Boss Fighters NFT’s marketplace and NFT mints (at least that’s what they say).
Boss Fighters currently has only one collection, the Rowdies Collection (although Alpha Mint is coming soon!). If you don’t own a Rowdies NFT yet, you can buy it at Magic Eden, but you already have the low-priced one. Lowest price on Rowdies is now 1 SOL.
Migrating Rowdies NFTs
The transfer process itself is pretty straightforward and is handled through the Boss Fighters Hub. Simply visit the Digital Assets page, link your Open Loot account and click the “Transfer” button. The migration itself involves two steps. Click ‘Write’ and ‘Transfer’ to recreate the Solana NFT on Polygon.
The Solana NFT will no longer be playable in-game. Only those on Polygon will appear in the player’s inventory.
Everyone who gives away a Boss Fighters NFT will receive 1-25 raffle tickets based on the NFT’s rarity. After the deadline, Meta Quest 2 will be presented by lottery! Not only does he get his VR headset for $300, but the winner will also get a chance to play the game as his character Boss!
The deadline to complete the transition is 11:59 PM EST on July 27th.
What is Boss Fighters?
Boss Fighters is an asynchronous arena combat game where teams of players pit themselves against other players as bosses. Bosses are gigantic enemies that can smash buildings, shoot lasers, and even rip giant hot dogs off restaurant rooftops and hurl them at tiny humans. Fighter players use guns, rockets, grappling his hooks, sticky bombs, and other weapon and gear options to help fight bosses.
Boss Fighter is free to play. Also, even those who are not interested in blockchain or NFTs can play and earn in-game rewards. Boss fighters contain digital assets and NFTs, but they are cosmetic only and do not affect gameplay. The game runs seasonally. During each season, players gain experience as they play, unlocking new gear, decorations, and upgrades. All of these rewards disappear between seasons, but players have the option to mint certain items into NFTs using game currency. The Boss player is central to the game, so participating in the game increases the rewards. This includes bonuses for playing regularly.
The first character skin NFT, known as the Rowdies Collection, is available on the Solana network. However, the team recently announced a new partnership with Open Loot, allowing NFTs to be transferred to Polygon.
Boss Fighters wants to bring a game show feel to their games and encourages streaming. They want to build esports that are fun events for players and viewers. The Boss Fighters team has already envisioned ways to encourage and reward audience and audience participation.
Boss Fighters will also include player-created content in the future, such as customized maps. Hopefully boss creation will be included as well!
