The Council of Champions, MetaSoccer DAO, will finally go live this week for its first community vote. As a bonus, DAO Maker will also be sponsoring the game’s upcoming tournament. Let’s get started!
MetaSoccer’s first DAO voting is set to happen this week
The Council of Champions, the DAO behind MetaSoccer, is opening its first community vote this week. According to Champion Games, creators of the soccer management game, the vote could result in changes to the scouting mechanics. Anyone with $MSU tokens, Youth Scouts or Pioneer Youth Scouts NFT will be able to vote on the best option to improve the aforementioned features.
For those of you who don’t know, scouting is a process where users send youth scouts to find young soccer players to join their team. Over the past few months, many people have complained about inconsistencies in this process and have suggested some ways MetaSoccer could improve it.
Members of the Champions Council DAO will have three options to vote on.
- Leave the scouting system as it is; or
- Add some variation to the player’s potential, allowing users a small chance to acquire higher level players, but never lower level players; or
- Add some variation to the player’s potential, but with more chances to get players above or below the scouting level.
In addition to this, MetaSoccer will change how scouts can improve their attributes. Instead of scouts gaining more experience through scouting, scouts will soon be able to improve through an independent learning process.
About the DAO Maker-sponsored tournament
In case you didn’t get the memo, MetaSoccer launched its first PvE tournament earlier this month called the Summer League. There are several editions; each tourney will start every Tuesday and then end the following Monday.
With that in mind, the upcoming tournament on August 30 will be sponsored by DAO Maker, which awards $2,000 worth of DAO. Registration will open on Monday. However, it is unclear if the tournament rules will be the same as the summer league. Interested parties will need to stay tuned for more details.
