Thanks to OpenSea and Blockaid, MetaMask browser wallet users can now turn on a new experimental feature to view their ERC-721 and ERC-1155 NFTs directly from OpenSea in their wallets. Signature transactions and signature requests from sources on OpenSea’s blocklist.
MetaMask recently introduced new experimental features in the latest version of its browser extension, adding options to opt-in to NFT auto-detection and to be warned when signing transactions and signing requests from known scams bottom.
these new experimental features were introduced in version v10.28 and should be welcomed by NFT enthusiasts as they can now automatically detect OpenSea’s NFTs and display them in their wallet thanks to OpenSea’s API. It’s a function. In addition to viewing ERC-721 and ERC-1155 non-fungible tokens from OpenSea, you can now send ERC-721 tokens directly from MetaMask to other wallets. According to a Twitter thread on the official Web3 wallet Twitter account, soon you will be able to send ERC-1155 NFTs as well.
That’s not all. Thanks to OpenSea and Blockaid, the MetaMask team has introduced his NFT fraud warnings into the wallet. This is another experimental feature that users can turn on by going to the Experimental section in Settings and switching OpenSea as the transaction security provider. Through a third-party API, MetaMask will be able to detect when you attempt to sign a transaction or signature request thanks to OpenSea’s blocklist of known scams and “analysis of Blockaid’s malicious behavior” including wallet exfiltration and signature farming, can warn users about known scams.
As part of our ongoing commitment to keep our community safe and secure, we’re working with our friends @opensea and @blockaid_ on an experimental feature in @MetaMask that will warn users when interacting with known scams. pic.twitter.com/MPn9yE7utD

Of course, fraud detection can’t completely replace due diligence, but it’s definitely a positive step towards ensuring a safer Web3 experience.
Last month, MetaMask developer ConsenSys released its own Unity SDK and exposed a layer 2 zk rollup called Linea.
