Officially launched on January 17, Bondee is described as a virtual square where users can build their own digital space and interact with up to 50 friends. Combining elements of the metaverse, messaging, and online gaming, the app has already surpassed 1 million downloads on Google Play and topped the App Store charts.
Bondee allows you to dress up your avatar and design your surroundings in 3D while chatting and hanging out with friends in a metaverse setting. This app has only one goal. It’s about breaking down the boundaries between the digital world and the real world, making it possible to “live” with friends.
With its impressive wardrobe selection and detailed graphics, Bondy has captured the attention of not only Gen Z, but the Internet community at large. When you create your avatar, you’ll get a QR code that allows other people to add you to Bondee. The more friends you have, the more fun you have. Users can freely design their own rooms and invite friends to go out for simple gatherings or virtual sleepovers.
In addition, there is a special “floating” feature that allows users to set sail and explore unknown worlds. As they come across new sights and encounters, they can leave messages on floating bottles, meet new friends, and even pick up freebies along the way.
Bondee has never been advertised as a Web3 app, but some claim it is already working on NFT integration. According to the privacy policy, users can create blockchain-based wallets to purchase in-game tokens that can be used to acquire NFTs. However, there is no specific date as to when this will be implemented.
