Alterverse presents a new beta of Sky City, the central social hub of the metaverse of virtual worlds and games. Offering new zones to explore, 20 mini-games, and a host of other activities, this closed beta should give you a good preview of what’s possible in the Alterverse ecosystem.
While this is officially called the Sky City Closed Beta, there are no real requirements to participate. All you have to do is fill out a basic application including your email address and name. You can sign up here – https://www.alterverse.com/early-access.
Closed Beta runs in sessions. 1 time every 2 weeks. Set to launch on June 9th and run through the weekend, the first preview of the game lets you explore his three regions: The Epicenter, Apex Raceway, and Razorback Ridge.
Activities include racing, fishing, mech combat, home decorating, and more. Numerous contests and leaderboards will be available during the Closed Beta, with rare NFT prizes awarded to the top participants.
What is Sky City?
Sky City is the central social hub for all of Alterbath. The team calls it MMOSSG (Massively Multiplayer Online Social Sandbox Game). In addition to socializing, Sky City also provides access to various mini-games, shopping, and home decorating. Sky City also bridges the shopping experience, allowing players to purchase real-world goods from within the game.
Built with Unreal 5 (isn’t that these days?!), Sky City is a 3D virtual city experience that includes customizable avatars, built-in voice chat, art galleries, day/night cycles, and more!
As Sky City nears its launch, it will provide players with shops and apartments in the form of NFTs. Additionally, it includes resource-gathering and crafting economic layers for gaining opportunities in potential play.
What is AlterVerse?
AlterVerse is a new metaverse under development. AlterVerse aims to take its place in an increasingly crowded arena with a decentralized, 3D, multiplayer, interconnected VR-enabled platform.
AlterVerse’s servers are player-owned and feature a variety of customizable pre-built environments and games. Altervers automatically adds newly launched game servers to the list of servers accessible to players. At its heart is Sky City, a social he hub with customizable spaces and stores for partnerships. His one of these partners, Double Protocol, offers an NFT rental system. In addition to owning an in-game office, Double Protocol will also be working on an in-game rental marketplace, allowing players to rent land parcels and other items!
Sky City is considered Phase 1 of AlterVerse. Phase 2 includes Outpost, his FPS, sci-fi shooter with quests, mining, and crafting. Phase 3 introduces Rekt, a hardcore survival game set on the hostile planet Sky City. We are currently in alpha playtesting. A beta version of Sky City and an alpha version of both Outpost and Rekt will be available later this year.
