Influence Test-And-Earn Phase 2

Influence has announced that the second phase of their testing and monetization campaign will arrive at the end of August. This physics-based space strategy and RPG game tells the story of colonizing an asteroid belt around a distant star, building on a second layer solution called Starknet for migration. Any major code update requires testing, and for an important update like this, they need a lot of testers. And that’s where you come in!

The summer of the blockchain game isn’t over yet. There’s a lot of action happening this month. Among them was a test and earn event from Influence that allowed players to earn SWAY tokens just for testing some basic features for them.

The first test and earn campaign held by Influence was a success. Over 1,000 players participated and 11,101 asteroids were minted to test some basic but important game features. on August 28, Influence will return for the second phase of Test & Earn. This event is open to anyone and everyone. No NFTs or tokens required!

Influence has partnered with Starkware and Immutable to run their games on a second tier network. However, they still want to provide players with the option to move their assets off the network if they wish. And, they also needed to allow everyone who already had existing Asteroids and Crews to migrate them to the game.

Therefore, this campaign is focused on casting new assets and building bridges between Etheroids’ L1 and L2 layers, although players will also have the opportunity to play around with the new Crew Management Console.

Assets available for minting in this campaign include asteroids and crew members. Since this event takes place on the Goerli test network, all ETH used for purchases and transactions are game coins. There are several faucets where you can get free ETH on the test network. although you may want to stock up before the event. Be sure to read the official Phase 2 guide for all the details on how to participate.

This campaign is being run in two parts. The first part, which runs from August 29 to September 4, offers 10,000 asteroids available for casting, although each player will only receive the bonus of casting 10. Crew casting is unlimited, however, and the global reward is capped at 75 million SWAY tokens. In Phase 2, Influence offers 500 asteroids per week for four weeks (with a maximum reward of 1 per wallet). Phase 2 also features unlimited crew minting, although the rewards are capped at 25 million SWAY.

The rewards are broken down as follows.

  • Purchase of asteroids: 5,000 SWAY
  • Recruiting crew: 1,000 SWAY
  • Bridging L1 to L2 asteroids: 2,500 SWAY
  • Bridging L2 to L1 asteroids: 1,000 SWAY
  • Bridging L1 to L2 crew: 2,500 SWAY
  • Bridging L2 to L1 crew: 1,000 SWAY

Influence is a space-based MMORPG in which a colony ship has reached its destination, only to discover uninhabitable planets. After much debate, the commander decides to have the passengers and crew set up camp in an asteroid belt and begin building a new civilization. Players have begun to lay claim to asteroids in the asteroid belt, and soon there will be mining teams, bases, traders, wealth, and the inevitable conflict.

In addition to the asteroids and ships, the player also has NFTs for the crew. the crew can choose to create a background storyline. This is done through a text story in which the player makes choices for the crew. Based on these choices, crew members are given certain traits that affect their skills in the game, thus allowing players to personalize their NFTs.

While the space MMO genre is becoming increasingly crowded, Influence offers some unique features that make it stand out. The main one is its adherence to realistic simulation. Not only is the resource production process complex and based on real life, but the asteroids themselves include orbital dynamics! This is not a static map. This is not a static map. All asteroids are constantly moving in their orbits. Each asteroid has an orbital period (how long it takes to complete an orbit), a semi-major axis (how far it is from the center), an inclination (how far the orbit is from the orbital plane), and an eccentricity (how far the orbit is from a perfect circle)! All of this comes into play over time. This all comes into play over time, causing the distance between any two asteroids to change from day to day

Hopefully this interface will allow the average player to ease into the game and enjoy the details. There will certainly be a lot to process! Fortunately, some people are already building tools to help players figure out the intricacies of the production process. In fact, Influence recently held a community poll to select some third-party projects to receive a stipend of SWAY tokens to continue their work
