Immutable, a leading blockchain gaming platform, has partnered with Polygon Labs to launch Immutable zkEVM, a new Polygon-powered Ethereum gaming chain.
Announced at the start of the annual Game Developers Conference (GDC), Immutable zkEVM is a chain of games that offer EVM compatibility, low cost, massive scale, and Ethereum security. Combining the upcoming Polygon zkEVM technology with the Immutable platform. However, his existing Immutable X scaling network based on StarkEx’s engine will continue with the new network.

Immutable zkEVM will be released near the end of Q2 2023. A developer can try out the technology by building with his Polygon zkEVM in beta. Immutable will also upgrade the utility of its native token $IMX, making it a native gas token on Immutable zkEVM, extending its current tariff utility to the new zkEVM on Polygon.
