Hundreds of thousands of people have joined the Alpha playtest of Phantom Galaxy. And from what we’ve seen so far, the game looks almost ready to play. UNITBOX data doesn’t currently show all of these users because Phantom Galaxies is processing their data off-chain.

What is Phantom Galaxies?
Phantom Galaxies is a game from Blowfish Studios and Animoca Brands, launching in 2021. It is still awaiting full release, but some users are already enjoying playtesting. The game is built on the Polygon network and has a storyline inspired by space battles and cyborg battles.
The storyline revolves around an uneasy alliance between two previously warring factions: the Alliance and the Federation. They unite against a lawless pirate guild and a new enemy named Sha’Kari.
Players pilot a starfighter mech that can switch between a rocket ship and a humanoid robot machine (think Transformers). You can go on missions, complete missions, conduct raids and build communities.
How to get started on Phantom Galaxies
First, you need a Web3 wallet. You can connect to it in the following ways.

Once you’ve set up your wallet, go to the Phantom Galaxies website and follow their setup instructions.
Phantom Galaxies is not free to play. You will need an avatar to join, and different avatars have different prices.

In May, 10,200 planets went on sale and they all sold out. Planets are where players can build their bases and form guilds. They also give out the in-game token ASTRAFER.
Planets are coded to the Polygon network, so when you buy one, you own it. This means you can build on it, rent it, sell it, or just own it.

What is ASTRAFER?
ASTRAFER is a token in the Phantom Galaxies game. It is a currency that players can use to buy items. It is also a management token, which means that the holder gets the right to vote on proposals.

How to play and win Phantom Galaxies
To play and win Phantom Galaxies, you need to be a real gamer. This is not a simple collect and click game with little skill to speak of. You need to be an ace pilot and an expert shooter.

These planets come in different sizes and at different costs. Planets can become your base and generate ASTRAFER.

Learn to fly and shoot
In Phantom Galaxy, you’ll fly through space as a shape-shifting robotic spacecraft. Knowing how to fly your ship and target your opponents is a non-negotiable skill.
Decide what game you want to play
Choose your mech suit from the Lancer, Buster, Breacher, or Assault classes. Some are suitable for gunplay, others are designed for stealth. When you know your goals, you can choose tools to help you achieve them.
