What is Arc8?

Arc8 is a mobile gaming platform with a play-to-earn system. By mobile games we mean card games, puzzle games, simple parkour games, target practice, and penalty shootouts.

These are all things you would expect to find on the App Store or Google Play. The difference is that in Arc8, you can earn rewards for participating rather than paying to download the app.

It’s built on the Polygon Layer2 network, which means Arc8’s in-game tokens are also easily compatible with Ethereum, the company behind Arc8’s development, Gamee, a subsidiary of Animoca Brands.

How does the game work?

Before you play the game, you bet your in-game GMEE tokens against another player. If you win against your opponent, you will win all the tokens. Betting tokens against other players means that there is an element of gambling in Arc8, especially in card games. But there is also a great deal of skill involved.

There are currently 11 games to choose from, and Arc8 is always adding more games to its suite. For now, you can choose from the following.

  • 99 Blocks – Closely related to Tetris.
  • ATARI Asteroids – A true remake of a computer game classic.
  • Dark Lords – You need a G-Bot NFT to fight in space.
  • Globo Run – Guide your sphere through obstacles in orbit.
  • Hexonix – A puzzle game that combines hexagons.
  • Marble Dash – Guide a marble along an obstacle course.
  • Pirate Solitaire – Friendly card game with a slice of nautical scoundrels.
  • Pixel Dungeon – Guide a cube through this platform game.
  • Samurai Hold’em – Poker for ninjas.
  • Solitaire Star – Klondike card game, almost as old as time.
  • Wizard’s 21 – Blackjack with variations.

The Gamee Tabletop site has information about Arc8, including a white paper showing upcoming milestones. Here you can also see your GAMEE dashboard, betting options, and markets. There will be more information about these later.

To play these games, you’ll need to download Arc8 on desktop or mobile from one of the big app stores. This means you need to jump through some KYC hoops to make this platform not completely decentralized. But the game money making features are all there for blockchain gamers to enjoy and win prizes.

In order to win rewards against your opponents, you’ll also need GMEE tokens to gamble with. You can get these from Polygon decentralized exchanges, such as QuickSwap or Uniswap.

Does Arc8 have any NFTs?

G-Bots are Polygon-based in-game NFTs in the Arc8 ecosystem. developed in accordance with the ERC-721 standard, G-Bots can be used in Arc8 by holders by putting them into battle or betting on them.

To obtain one, you need to go through the secondary market. The first batch of 5,000 packs containing G-Bots went on sale in 2021, but sold out very early. rumors began circulating in June 2022 that a second version of G-Bots was in development.

Gamee plans to expand the utility of G-Bot NFT and says an entire metaverse-style virtual world is in development. Their goal is to create more decentralized platform ownership, introduce game-related lands, and give the community a greater say in how Arc8 operates.

Gamee also hopes to achieve interoperability for G-Bots. This means that holders will be able to use their NFTs on different platforms and in different games. currently, users can only use their NFTs in the Arc8 ecosystem.

What’s the in-game currency?

GMEE is Arc8’s in-game currency. The current token price is well below its all-time high. However, as this is in line with other cryptocurrency markets, a rebound is possible in the future.

In order to win more GMEE, you need to find an opponent, decide how many tokens you want to bet against, and then compete to win prizes in the Arc8 game. It’s that simple.

How can you make money playing Arc8?

Yes, as we saw above, you can win GMEE by competing against your opponent for a predetermined amount. Conversely, if you lose against your opponents, you will lose the GMEE tokens you wagered.

Arc8 also has a free credit system. This allows players to play and practice for free. Using any free credits earned, players can also participate in sponsored tournaments where GMEE tokens can be grabbed. You can earn real cryptocurrency in the game this way; however, it takes a long time to build up resources.

You can also bet on GMEE in the liquidity pool, or you can bet on G-Bot NFT for a reward. There is more on this below.

Can you stake on Arc8?

Arc8 itself does not have a betting feature. However, within the Gamee platform, there is a well-established betting portal with many options.
When you go to Gamee’s betting portal, you will find that you have two options. You can bet on tokens or bet on your G-Bot.

Tokens

It is worth noting that Gamee’s betting activity is not permanent. When you enter the portal, you will immediately see if there is a betting period at this moment.

There are two bet pairs.

  • GMEE – MATIC
  • GMEE – ETH

By betting on your GMEE and adding liquidity to these pools, you will be rewarded with tokens.

G-Bots

You can also bet with your G-Bot NFT. Depending on the rarity of your G-Bot, you will receive a daily bonus of GMEE tokens when you lock it. The daily bonus changes depending on how many holders are betting on their NFT at any given time, and you can view your current bonuses on the G-Bot bets page.
