Hash Rush Beta Update and Video Review

Contents

Hash Rush, the first crypto real-time strategy game in existence, has just released their closed beta with many new features.  Among them, we have air units, new NFT heroes, and a brand new game mode called Dungeon Mode

To join the closed beta players will need a Vorto key to access the game. The key is airdropped to holders of Hash Rush heroes, but can also be purchased on the game’s marketplace.

This closed beta will be open to everyone on September 15 and will last until September 29. If you manage to craft heroes, aka NFT, you will be able to keep them permanently.

What’s new?

The team behind Hash Rush has surprised the community with a ton of new features.

These include.

  • A new dungeon mode
  • Air units
  • New buildings
  • New NFT heroes
  • New ways of commanding troops
  • New maps

This is a pretty big change for the game and it’s now very close to what the official version of the game will look like. Obviously, there are some glitches and it needs some polishing, but considering that this is only a closed beta, this is perfectly acceptable.

Standard Mode

This is the typical “skirmish” mode in every RTS game, where players battle the computer for map dominance and resource gathering.

The first person to destroy the enemy base and army wins the game. To do this, players need to build buildings, collect resources, train and upgrade their armies.

On top of that, if players hold some NFT heroes, i.e. super powerful units, they can use them immediately in the closed beta.

If players succeed and win the game, they will be rewarded with loot such as hero equipment to equip heroes and increase their stats, as well as materials. The latest materials can be used to craft hero tokens or equipment. Hero tokens can then be used to craft new NFT heroes.

Dungeon Mode

This is the newest mode available only at the beginning of the closed beta. In this mode, players are able to build a small army from a range of available units and upgrades. Players are given a limited number of points, and each unit has a cost.  Unlike the standard mode where players can rebuild their armies, in Dungeon mode players will have to start over if an army is lost. If the player defeats all the monsters and the final boss in the time available, then a reward will be given in the form of loot.

Conclusion

Hash Rush is moving in the right direction and I believe it has a lot of potential in the NFT game space for a number of reasons.
Let’s start with the fact that Hash Rush is Web3‘s Warcraft. NFT heroes have different abilities, just like you can train certain units in your base and you can equip them. Just like in Warcraft. Then, it is the first RTS game with blockchain assets. Let’s also not forget that the graphics already look amazing and each unit is very detailed.

The result of adding all these advantages is that this project has a good chance to become a giant in this industry. The only thing I think is missing is a highly competitive PvP mode with a leaderboard and level based rewards.
