Guild of Guardians Economy Update

The Guild of Guardians recently released a lengthy blog post providing information on the future direction of the game. This includes plans for the Guild of Guardians economy, Web2 player onboarding, and upgrading Guardian NFTs within the ecosystem.

After a few early previews of the game, Guild if Guardians pulled itself in when it came time to rethink the game’s plans. And apparently much of it involved a planned economy revamp focused on player onboarding and making his Web3 features an optional part of the game rather than a requirement.

Web2 player onboarding continues to be a hot topic in Web3 game development, with various strategies being employed. In this case, the Guild of Guardians has already partnered with Immutable X, making him one of the first apps to integrate Immutable Passport.

The Guardians economic system has two main divisions: dungeon exploration and crafting. Players can form teams and explore dungeons for loot. However, you can also find a place in the economy by crafting items and upgraded Guardians. The team plans to roll out her PvE dungeon exploration section solo first before releasing other features.

Guardians and NFTs in Guild of Guardians

Players do not need NFTs to play Guild of Guardians. Instead, you will be able to level up and play with Guardians you find through gameplay. However, if you’re looking for a specific Guardian, you can also purchase Guardian NFTs.

Guardians can level up by participating in dungeon runs and gain new skills and abilities through rare items found in dungeons. There’s also a merging/”star-up” system for Guardians, increasing their power and max level.

Radiant Guardians are on the path to migrating Web2 players to Web3. Radiants are regular Guardians converted to NFTs with a little extra power along the way. Guardians gain even greater powers when they become Radiants. This is done through the use of Radiant Souls, a currency that can only be obtained by burning other Radiant Guardians, and sets the system to prevent excessive inflation of the number of Guardian NFTs.

And to avoid players simply buying their way to the top, all Radiant Guardians reset their experience every time they are traded. Acquired special powers will still be retained, but new owners will need to level them up again.

What is Guild of Guardians?

Guild of Guardians is a cooperative, fantasy, action, dungeon crawler game currently in development on the Ethereum blockchain. The player gathers his four-person team to enter dungeons, battle monsters, defeat dangerous bosses, and earn sweet loot. The game is free to play and initially built for mobile devices.

The Guild of Guardians already has NFTs available on the secondary market and has also launched the token GOG. NFTs can be traded on Immutable X and Token Trove. The token, the Guild of Guardians Gems (GOG), can be found on all ETH DEXs.

The game features a GOG token staking reward pool that will be filled from in-game token usage. “Guild of Guardians” also includes pets, guilds and raids, with plans for land ownership, user-created dungeons, and esports integration in the future. In fact, GoG already has several partnerships with eSports teams.
