The fund, provided by Griffin Gaming Partners, will help the two co-founders build simulation games with unique experiences.
Gallium Studio Secure $6 Million Fund
Gallium Studio has secured $6 million in funding to develop simulation games that work on blockchain technology. These include VoxVerse for Gala Games, and the memory simulation game Proxi. Gallium Studio, founded by veteran video game designers Will Wright and Lauren Elliott, develops simulation games using the latest Web3 and AI technologies.
The funding was provided by Griffin Gaming Partners, one of the world’s largest gaming venture funds. The investment will provide Gallium Studio with the resources and partnerships to create a better immersive experience for its simulation games.
In an interview, Elliot said.
“Now is a great time to design and release the next generation of simulation games, and we are excited to partner with Griffin to make that happen. We are at a point where the core capabilities of advanced AI and blockchain technology can be combined to support Will’s vision of putting the player at the center of the development process. Whether it’s talking to the latest AI or owning everything you create, game design should put the player first.”
Details On Proxi
Proxi is the main product of Gallium Studio, where Wright works with neuroscientists to explore memory models and how data represents memory. Although he is not a fan of NFT, he believes the blockchain can solve problems related to user-generated content.
Wright said.
“Proxi is our main big project. It starts with memories because we find a fun, playful way to extract memories from your life …… Proxi then becomes an instantiated conversational agent, an AI that represents your subconscious mind.”
The Proxi game will be released in phases, the first of which may be a memory-making tool that allows users to build their old memories.
