The hit horse racing game Derby Stars is out in alpha on August 7th, with exciting new features awaiting gamers.

While most horse racing titles have boring and monotonous gameplay, Derby Stars aims to stand out by blending horse racing and land-based play with a twist of strategy. The alpha version includes a revamped training mechanic, a horse rental system, seasonal he PvP tournaments, and a new core system integrated with a newly designed racetrack.

To make training sessions more rewarding, the team introduced a new system that allows users to generate special cores every 15 minutes of virtual training. Each core can be equipped for different purposes. For example, a horse with a high stamina core will have an edge in long-distance competition. This allows players to choose specific goals for the core based on their preferences. For example, a training goal could be “He wins X or more G1 races”, and upon completion will create a core with new power stats.

Derby Stars will also launch an innovative rental system that allows players to rent NFT horses for free. The current owner’s horse will be given priority for rental. When demand from new or existing users exceeds market supply, the system creates and reserves a certain amount of “non-tradable horses” available for rent. This makes it possible for anyone to play the game with little investment.

Seasonal PvP races are also included, where players earn $RUN based on how many points their horse has accumulated. Each season has its own characteristics, such as certain stats that give you an edge or the possibility of earning more points on certain tracks. A new track with different straight and curved lengths will appear, requiring a different strategy than the current track.
