Cryowar is now using Unreal Engine 5

The team has switched from Unreal Engine 4 to Unreal Engine 5 and recently showed off a new version of the PVP arena brawler at Gamescom.

The team behind Cryowar recently revealed that their upcoming PVP title is now running on Unreal Engine 5.

Cryowar is a 1V1V1 arena brawler designed to offer skill-based gameplay along with cross-platform multiplayer with the ability to play from a top-down perspective using eight different characters. The free-to-play mobile game will not offer pay-to-win items through its game store, but rather emphasizes skill through fast-action matches lasting several minutes. The goal of each match is randomly determined among four different objectives: last man standing, battle arena, highest scorer in five minutes and deathmatch. According to the whitepaper, there will also be 1V1 duels on player-owned lands, and while the game is PVP-focused, there are plans for PVE modes, including a co-op survival mode and a co-op boss battle mode.

The main utility deflation token for the game’s ecosystem is CWAR dollars, whose main uses include staking, yield farming, governance voting, and purchasing Cryowar NFTs such as character skins.
