New in-game tokens, NFT weapons, and a new Arena Royale mode are just some of the features coming to Cantina Royale.
What’s in Cantina Royale 2.0
Cantina Royale, a Web3 arcade shooter, is set to release version 2.0 with new features and gameplay.
Fans got their first look at some of the major highlights of the latest update. This includes a new Arena Royale mode, endgame rewards, new in-game tokens, and a weapon system.
The team plans to launch Gem, a new hard currency for non-crypto natives. This in-game token gives players access to special items and features, as well as more options to speed up their progress. Players with crowns can get gems directly from the store at significant discounts.
On top of that, Cantina Royale will introduce a new game mode, Arena Royale, in its next release. This competitive mode is available to NFT players and runs in the form of weekly tournaments. Owners can earn Crowns, in-game tokens representing $CRT, by winning matches in the Arena or placing high on the leaderboards. Players can also compete on the NFT Ladder to increase their NFT earning potential.
Note that each NFT has access to 5 Arena Royale matches per day. Arenas are not intended to be farmable, so the game does not distribute progression-related resources. On the contrary, it aims to increase the value of players’ accounts and provide better income opportunities for skilled gamers.
Cantina Royale 2.0 also features a weapon system and NFT weapons, allowing players to forge and upgrade their weapons. New weapons can be obtained by purchasing them at the Smithy or by spending Weapon Coins. These coins can be obtained from various gameplay such as Career Roads, Battle Pass, Arena Royale, and Rare Events. Each weapon belongs to a specific collection, and the first batch of NFT weapons will be in the Arsenal X collection.
Cantina 2.0 also comes with other new mechanics. This includes Tombstones, a mystery feature that will be explained in the next update. The next version will be playable in a beta test that will be announced at a later date.
