The Boss Fighters team recently revealed new information about the utility of their BFT tokens.
The free-to-play PC/VR game will use a deflationary model and this token will be used in several different ways. It will be used to purchase “hard currency,” which is an in-game premium currency that can be purchased in fiat currency or with BFT dollars. It will be cheaper to buy with tokens instead of fiat currency. This hard currency will be used to purchase in-game items and battle passes.
Betting on BFT will allow players to unlock various game features. As of press time, the developer plans to have three special wager pools and several other wager pools for watching money-making features. These three pools are called Armory, Fighter’s Badge and Team (Clan). Each pool is divided into 3 different levels and the more bets you make in a pool, the higher the level you unlock. Armories allow for better rewards, while fighter badges unlock more XP and new game modes. The final pool gives players the ability to create their own team and compete in team tournaments. Each pool will have a lock-in period, but those who want to unlock it before the end of the lock-in period will have to pay a fee that will eventually be burned, but also “redistributed as part of the rewards”.
Trading NFTs will use $BFT, which will also be needed when casting NFTs with rewards, as items acquired in-game will not automatically become NFTs. players will have a limited inventory that will be wiped out each season, requiring players to carefully choose what they want to cast. Each transaction will have a marketplace fee, a portion of which will not only be burned but also sent to “ecosystem reward funds, such as viewing revenue and mobile revenue in VR.
