Axie Infinity awaits its first real season to regain its SLP rewards.

Hundreds of runes and charms have been minted on the Ronin network, and the beta season for Axie Infinity. Origins’ beta season still has a long way to go. NFT items can be traded in-game, giving the team an advantage.
As of right now, there are 694 rune holders and 642 token holders according to the Ronin blockchain scan. These tokens use the ERC-1155 standard, which designates a unique asset allocation. But these tokens have also seen tens of thousands of transfers in the past few days, hinting at the existence of a secondary market.
Rune and charm tokens are hard to come by and are more likely to be generated by top teams. Only the fastest rune and rune producers can mint and resell their items under the short season limit. There have been calls to extend the duration of the rune and rune events, as their effect on combat expires at the end of each season.
Axie Origin is also going through a patching process that could be the last rebalancing before the first real season.

After the update, which fixes bugs in runes and cosmetic features, Axie has signaled that it will try not to rebalance the game and allow a return to the regular season with SLP gains.
Axie Infinity Aims for Higher Player Count
Axie Infinity still attracts more than 33,000 players per day, although it is still far from the peak of its gaming success. Axie Universe currently has no SLP rewards. The main source of revenue is through tournaments with fixed prize pools.
Another source of revenue is Axie’s resale and reproduction. The game may also be lucrative for early Axies with high energy who are able to climb the leaderboards and make charms and runes more easily.
The next big event that could boost Axie’s prominence will be AxieCon in Barcelona. the second phase of the Axie Classic will take place during the conference on September 5-7.

For now, Axie is seeing less hype, with its primary token, AXS, stalled at $14.63. SLP, the primary reward and breeding token, is at $0.004.
