The first Project K alpha is expected to be released later this year, with an unchained version. This alpha version will focus on the harvesting and crafting aspects of the game. Players will be able to harvest and process resources, as well as build structures on their land. These structures allow players to craft items and then sell them to the local natives. The natives engage in idle battles, contributing currency and leaderboard points to those who sell them items.

Axie also plans to release a mini-game called Raylights that uses land NFTs. In Raylights, players collect minerals and use them to grow decorative plants for their land. Progress will open up new components, plants and layers. This sounds like a self-contained game, just to showcase the changing appearance of your land. There doesn’t appear to be any additional NFTs or tokens in Raylights, but we haven’t gotten all the details of the game yet, so that could change.

And, in a very interesting development for the Axie ecosystem, Sky Mavis announced a partnership and agreement with Google Cloud. Google Cloud will be an independent validator for the Ronin Network This is a big name company that has agreed to help support the network! That’s huge!

There may be more news and information leaked from the Axie team as the conference is still ongoing. Follow them on Twitter and Discord to see all their updates and announcements.
