Astar Network Prepares to Launch Smart Contract Platform

Astar Network aims to build a new hub for both Web3 developers and Web2 app onboarding.

  • Astar Network will launch a new WASM smart contract on April 6th.
  • Astar Network is Polkadot’s largest smart contract and app hub.
  • The network offers build-to-earn passive income for each app deployed.

Astar Network is an upcoming platform for building smart contracts and will soon partner with the Polkadot Protocol. This project aims to provide developers with a toolset for deploying smart contracts in a multi-blockchain environment.

Astar Network is an EVM compatible environment and also provides building smart contracts for WASM environment. All Astar apps have cross-consensus compatibility to achieve true multi-chain construction.

Astar Network Offers Build to Earn

Astar Network targets developers not only for the opportunity to build apps, but also for the opportunity to hold equity and secure passive income. App staking allows all builders to receive rewards for the code they write.

Astar Network is already tokenized with ASTR tokens and will be used for payments. Astar Network reports that since its launch, up to 50 apps have been built, with up to 500,000 community members participating. Astar Network is ready to onboard not only the Web2 team, but his native Web3 developers who are looking to deploy apps compatible with multi-chain virtual machines.

Astar Network Supplies Smart Contracts to Polkadot

The Polkadot ecosystem has developed over the past few years and started off as one of the largest ICO sales. Polkadot survived even though most of his funds were locked due to an accident in his contract Smart. Polkadot then launched the so-called parachain, a slot for side chain calculations. Astar Network owns and operates one of those parachains.

Since its launch, Astar Network has become the most powerful tool and hub for deploying Polkadot smart contracts. Astar Network is cross-compatible with other major blockchains such as Polygon and BSC.

WASM smart contracts, released on April 6th, are the most flexible tool for migrating from Web2 to Web3. Some apps available on WASM are not available on the Ethereum virtual machine. WASM smart contracts can also use any programming language already used by Web2 apps.

Astar Network already has NFT games and DeFi apps in its growing ecosystem. Astar Network also offers a toolset to get you started with WASM and Polkadot networks.
