Aavegotchi Forge Introduces New Game Mechanic: Geodes

Aavegotchi Forge includes a new game mechanic called Geodes. Geodes act as capsules obtained by smelting wearables, and have six different rarity tiers that affect your chances of receiving a prize when opened.

The Aavegotchi Forge team has announced the release of a new game mechanic called Geodes.

Geodes are RNG-powered capsules obtained by smelting wearables in the Forge. They have six different rarity tiers, which affect the odds of winning a prize when opened: Common, Uncommon, Rare, Legendary, Mythical, and Godlike.

However, to actually open it, you have to go to an NPC named Flex. Flex can help you unlock these new gems even if you don’t own Aavegotchi or GLTR. What kind of prize awaits depends on the rarity.

Geode rarity tiers affect the odds of winning a particular prize from the prize pool, and the use of Chainlink VRF (Verifiable Random Function) makes the distribution process transparent and fair. According to the announcement, the first pool will include a curated collection of four of his legendary schematics that form the Smithhooor set, but “plunging into the geode-opening frenzy will reveal 400 fascinating pieces.” You’ll find yourself in a huge pool of schematics.” Below are the percentages for each tier that give you a greater or lesser chance of getting one of these schematics in your geode:

  • Common: 0.7920%
  • Uncommon: 2.3573%
  • Rarity: 9.8209%
  • Legendary: 34.3900%
  • Myth: 86.3022%
  • God-like: 100%
